Moving abroad entails a lot of forward planning. Whilst some things can be done once you arrive, others need to be prepared a year or so before, and then some things are best done around 3 months before your planned move.
UK citizens will need to check if they require a visa to visit the country, as a lot of Europeans countries will only let you stay for 90 days, after this time you will need to apply to stay longer. You will also need to double check the rights you have to work there....
